Men's Ministry

2008 marks the seventh year of existence for the current Men's Ministry Council. As such, we have established ourselves in our ministry to KCN. We strive to plan events for men that focus on four pillars. These are: Fellowship, Outreach, Service and Spiritual Growth. We meet weekly for coffee 7:30am Wednesday mornings at George's Place in Kirkland in downtown Kirkland and Wednesday nights at 8:00pm at Juanita Starbucks on the northwest corner of 98th Avenue and 116th Street up the street from Bank of America.

The 21st annual Men's Golf Classic is Saturday, August 23rd at Cascade Golf Course in North Bend. Contact Craig Brand for more information!!

Here's some of our yearly events:

• A big highlight of our year is our Men's Retreat, usually scheduled for the middle of March. Cost for the retreat is usually $30, and includes transportation, one night's accommodation with breakfast and lunch on the Saturday.

• The other main event on our yearly calendar is KCN Family Camp. We reserve group accommodations at State Parks in the summer. Bring the whole family, as there will be opportunities for hiking, waterskiing, boating and fishing!

And yes, a little clowning around, too!!

Some events that have already happened this year:

• We hosted another fun Superbowl party. We showed the big game commercial free and supplied food and gave away prizes, including more autographed footballs from Seahawk players!

• We went to Key Arena to watch the Seattle Thunderbirds skate against the Spokane Chiefs.
