Adult Bible Fellowship Groups (ABFs)

Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, says this about fellowship:

“Life is meant to be shared. God intends for us to experience life together. The Bible calls this shared experience fellowship. . .Real fellowship is so much more than just showing up at services. It is experiencing life together.”

". . .We need a small group of friends. . .[where]
the Body of Christ is real and tangible even when God seems distant.”

In regards to growing in Christ, Rick says:

“God uses his Word, people, and circumstances to mold us. All three are indispensable for character development. God’s Word provides the truth we need to grow, God’s people provide the support we need to grow, and circumstances provide the environment we need to practice Christ-likeness.”

Weekday ABFs

Several groups meet on different weeknights at homes on the Eastside. Each group is unique because of group dynamics. Most of the gatherings last about 1.5 hours and primarily include discussion, prayer, reading the Bible and relationship building. Service to others is also a part of small groups but is done on a more intermittent basis as decided by the group. Groups are just beginning a new study on the book of Acts, a model for today’s church.

Here is a list of the current weeknight ABF groups:

·          Monday, 7:00pm, Kirkland

·          Tuesday, 7:00pm, Kirkland and Redmond

·          Wednesday, 7:00pm, Kirkland, Redmond, and Sammamish

·          Thursday, 7:00pm, Bothell and Kenmore

Women’s Bible Study:
The weekday women’s ABF group will be led by Rhonda Bare. Childcare is provided on site.

When:  Tuesdays at 10:00am
Where: Lakeview Room

Men’s Breakfast:
This informal ABF group is designed especially for men. The group meets in downtown Kirkland. Contact Andy Knight for more information.

When:  Wednesdays at 7:30am
Where: George’s Place, 108 Kirkland, Way, Kirkland

Men's Coffee:
A great chance to come and connect with the Men's Council as they plan activities for the men of KCN. The group meets in Juanita. Contact Andy Knight for more information.

When:  Wednesdays at 8:00pm
Where: Starbucks, 9721 NE 119th Way, Kirkland
